PROFESSOR ALAGAIAH THURAIRAJAH GOLD MEDAL

Applications are invited for the award of Professor Alagaiah Thurairajah Gold Medal from eligible students those who have graduated in the Academic years 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 obtaining first class or second class (Upper Division) and will be conferred Bachelor Degree at the forthcoming 41^st Annual Convocation.

Students those who have completed their degree programmes in the above academic years from the Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Technological Studies of the former Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna are also eligible to submit their applications for the above award of Gold Medal.

Applications may be obtained from one of the following:

Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Affairs and Publication Branch, University of Jaffna.
Deputy Registrar, Examinations and Student Services Branch, University of Vavuniya, Vavuniya

Gold Medal:

One Gold Medal for all round best performance at University Level
Gold medal for all round best performance at each Faculty level.

Submission of Application Forms

Applications duly perfected with other supporting documents should be posted under registered cover to “Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Affairs and Publication Branch, University of Jaffna”, to reach him on or before 23^rd September 2026 by mentioning “Application for Professor Alagaiah Thurairajah Gold Medal”, on the left-hand corner of the envelope.

Those who have already submitted their applications in the 40^th General Convocation held on 19^th, 20^th, 21^st &22^nd of February 2026 need not apply again.
Late, illegible, and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
