Financial Assistance for the students University of Jaffna.
Applications are invited for the following 14 Scholarships from the students of University of Jaffna.

Dr.K.Arumugam (SCOT) Memorial Fund (For All Faculties)
The scholarship will be awarded to low-income and financially disadvantaged undergraduates.
Rasaiah Rasammah Scholarship (For All Faculties)
The Scholarship will be awarded to an Orphan Student.
Mr.Chandrasegaram Balachandran Memorial Scholarship (For All Faculties)
The Scholarship will be awarded to needy students.
Sydney University Tamil Society Fund (For All Faculties)
The fund will be awarded to financially needy students.
Naguleswary Sinnaiah Memorial Fund (For All Faculties)
The fund will be awarded to financially needy students.
Jaffna University Kilinochchi District Students Union Endowed Scholarship (For All Faculties)
The scholarship will be awarded to low-income students from the Kilinochchi District studying at the University of Jaffna.
Thanthai Chelva Memorial Trust Scholarship (For All Faculties)
The scholarship will be awarded to students with physical disabilities (not for blind).
Sanmugam & Pathmasani Rajendran Endowment Fund (For All Faculties)
The fund will be awarded to deserving students.
Jaffna University Alumni Association (JUAA Canada) (For All Faculties)
The scholarship will be awarded to the students who are
- From the Vanni and Upcountry regions Tamil speaking students.
Priority to will be given to:
- Women-headed family.
- Facing severe difficulties that hinder their education.
- Physical disabilities or special needs requiring financial support.

Kandaiah Satkunam Memorial Prize (For Faculty of Science)
The fund will be awarded to financially disadvantaged final-year science students, with priority given to former students of Kokuvil Hindu College.
Mr. & Mrs. T. Y. Ramanathan Memorial Scholarship (For Faculty of Science)
This scholarship will be awarded to Tamil-speaking, highly disadvantaged 1st year and 2nd year science students, with priority given to orphaned students.
Dr. P. Thillainathan Memorial Fund (For Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science)
This scholarship will be awarded to the students from the Thenmaradchchi Division enrolled in science or social science subject, with priority given to those from low-income backgrounds.
Kotahena Varatharaja Vinayagar Temple Bursary (For Faculty of Arts & Faculty of Science)
The scholarship will be awarded to Arts and Science undergraduate students in need of financial assistance, with priority given to refugees.
Jaffna Rotary Scholarship (For Faculty of Arts & Faculty of Science)
The scholarship will be awarded to Arts and Science undergraduate students in need of financial assistance, with priority given to orphans and refugees.
- Applicants should not be in receipt of any financial assistance except Mahapola Scholarship / Bursary.
- The application form should be downloaded from the University website (jfn.ac.lk) and printed on both sides of A4 paper.
- Ensure that the application form is fully and accurately completed. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- If certified salary details are not available, a certificate of income issued by your Grama Niladhari and Divisional Secretary must be attached.
- Each student is permitted to submit only one application per scholarship.
- The completed application must be submitted to the Welfare Services Branch on or before 02nd June 2026.
- Applicants are required to submit both:
- The Google Form, and
- A hard copy of the application along with all supporting documents to the Welfare Services Branch.
Important: Only applicants who have submitted both the Google Form and the hard copy prior to the deadline will be considered for selection.
