Walk – IN – INTERVIEW

Walk in Interview for appointment to the following post will be held on 17.07.2026 from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm at the board room, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna, Arviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi.

  • Temporary Instructor in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Temporary Instructor in Department of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Temporary Instructor in Department of Computer Engineering.
  • Temporary Instructor in Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.

 The Candidates are expected to

  • Work under the Head of the Department and facilitate the research work of the academic staff.
  • Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments
  • Assist academic staff in conducting undergraduate programmes.
  • Exhibit professionalism in design skills

 Required qualifications

  1. A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject with First or Second class (Upper Division) Honours.
    OR
  2. A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject with Second class (Lower Division)
    OR
  3. A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject without Honors or any other degree with at least Second class honours,
    and
    A postgraduate degree in the relevant subject

Note: Candidates who are awaiting the results of the final degree examinations may also apply for the post of Temporary Instructor.

Salary:

  • A fixed monthly salary of Rs. 68,145/- subject to a deduction of 6,029/- as an unpaid amount, in accordance with Commission Circular No 02/2025(i) dated 04.04.2025.In addition to the above salary, the allowance approved by University Grants Commission will also be paid.
