USBus – Mobile American Space Launch Kilinochchi Campus, University of Jaffna

The USBus Mobile American Space, Sri Lanka, was successfully launched at the Kilinochchi Campus, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna on May 21, 2026. The event brought together students, academics, and guests to promote learning, innovation, and international academic opportunities.

The inaugural ceremony was held with university representatives and Dr. Steven Walter, Public Diplomacy Officer from the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, who shared insightful remarks and valuable knowledge. The event emphasized strengthening educational linkages, innovation-driven learning, and global exposure, and concluded with a visit to the USBus Booth.

A total of 565 participants attended academic sessions on technology, leadership, research skills, and global education, highlighting STEAM approaches and 21st-century skills. They were introduced to eLibraryUSA, documentary-based learning on space exploration, and interactive content on American excellence and global education.

The USBus Booth engaged 223 participants through VR experiences, a 3D printer demonstration, interactive games, and information on U.S. scholarships and exchange programs. Overall, the event promoted knowledge sharing, capacity building, and global educational awareness, connecting students to innovative learning and international opportunities.
