University of Jaffna will entertain applications from the qualified persons for the under-mentioned post.

  • Scientific Assistant (Temporary)

 Qualifications:

(i) A first or second class (Upper Division) in a special degree examination in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences/ /Molecular Microbiology with 03 years of experience  after obtaining such degree qualification.

OR

(ii) A second class (lower division) in a special degree examination in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences/ /Molecular Microbiology with an approved Postgraduate/Professional qualification.

Salary scale:    A fixed monthly salary of Rs.85,305/= subject to a deduction of Rs.8,906/= as an unpaid amount, in accordance with Commission Circular No.02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025. In addition to the above salary, the allowances approved by the University Grants Commission applicable to the post will be paid.
