DIGIPATHS Study: Digitally Integrated Care Pathways for Multiple-Long-Term Conditions Management in Primary Care, Sri Lanka
The University of Jaffna invites applications from qualified candidates for the following position of DIGIPATHS Study: Digitally Integrated Care Pathways for Multiple-Long-Term Conditions Management in Primary Care, Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), UK.
- Temporary Facilitators for Community Engagement Involvement – Vacant – 30 posts
Requirements:
At least one (01) year of prior work experience in community-based, health-related projects, particularly those involving Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI) activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the project’s Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI) activities at the district level in alignment with work plans and timelines.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with community leaders, local authorities, civil society organizations, and other district-level stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular communication and engagement with community members to ensure their views, concerns, and expectations are appropriately captured and addressed.
- Support the organization and coordination of community consultations, workshops, awareness programs, and public involvement events.
- Support the project team in integrating district-level community insights into research implementation, data collection, and dissemination activities.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, attendance, community feedback, activity reports, and follow-up actions.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and community safeguarding principles in all engagement processes.
- Contribute to district-level progress reports, case studies, and knowledge-sharing materials highlighting community perspectives.
- Support capacity-building and orientation sessions for community representatives and local volunteers where required.
- Carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the Country Lead of the Project.
Remuneration: A monthly salary of LKR 38,045.00 will be paid.
General conditions for all the above posts:
- Ability to work anywhere in Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must submit a Character Certificate issued by the respective Grama Niladhari of their place of residence. (Applications submitted without the Character Certificate will not be considered.)
- The selected candidate will be appointed on a full-time basis for one year, and the appointment may be renewed annually based on performance and project requirements.
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Age should be between 25 and 45 years.
- The selected candidate will contribute to the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employee Trust Fund (ETF). The employee is required to contribute 8% of their monthly salary to the EPF, while the employer will contribute 12% to the EPF and 3% to the ETF.
