PROCUREMENT OF SHOES, UNIVERSITY OF JAFFNA
UJ/F/NCB/001/2026

Chairman, Department Procurement Committee, University of Jaffna, Tirunelveli invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of Shoes, University of Jaffna as described below.

  1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure.
  2. Bidder should have at least five years’ experience in the relevant field in Sri Lanka.
  3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Assistant Bursar / Supplies (Contact No: 021-2220962/ 021-2226519) of the University of Jaffna, and inspect the bidding documents at the Supplies Branch of the University from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm from the date of 26.01.2026 to 09.02.2026 at free of charge.
  4. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the Assistant Bursar / Supplies, or could be downloaded from the University website www.jfn.ac.lk upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rupees 1,000.00 either in cash at the Shroff Counter of the University of Jaffna or to the credit of Peoples’ Bank University of Jaffna Branch, account no: 970000060000276. The cash receipt of the Shroff or the bank deposit slip to be attached with the bidding documents. The documents may be purchased until 2.30 pm from 26.01.2026 to 09.02.2026
  5. Bids must be delivered in duplicate to be addressed The Bursar, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely, on or before 2.00 pm on 10.02.2026. Please indicate the Procurement of Shoes, University of Jaffna – UJ/F/NCB/001/2026–10.02.2026 on the left-hand corner of the envelope.
  6. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security addressed to the, “Vice Chancellor, Department Procurement Committee, University of Jaffna, valid for 49 days (31.03.2026) from the date of the bid opening as specified in the following Table.

  1. Pre-Bid meeting will be held on 02.02.2026 at 10.00 am in the Board Room of University of Jaffna
  2. The bids shall be deposited in the ‘Tender Box’ available in the Bursar’s Office of the University, or sent under Registered Cover to be received on or before the deadline to the address given Clause No.5.
  3. Late bids will be rejected.
  4. The bids will be opened at 2.00 pm on 10.02.2026 in presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend the bid opening at the board room of the University.
