Ceremonial opening of newly installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filter System

Safe and clean drinking water facilities were officially enhanced at the Kilinochchi Premises, University of Jaffna, with the ceremonial opening of newly installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filter Systems at the Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels on 11 January 2025 by the Vice Chancellor.

The project, funded by the University of Jaffna at a material cost of Rs. 4,541,960.22, was successfully completed with the generous support of the Sri Lanka Navy, which carried out the installation and related labour work free of charge under its Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) Project.

This initiative reflects the University’s continued commitment to improving student welfare by ensuring access to safe and clean drinking water for hostel residents at the Kilinochchi Premises.
